I made the big time. The Summer issue of Ride Texas magazine did a little 1/2 page feature of my moto-ized Flat Stanley.
If you have kids or grand-kids, you know who Stanley Lambchop is!
R.T. was covering the Dallas International Motorcycle Show and saw some of my guys taking photo-ops with our Flat Stanley. Curious, they snagged me for the story.
I came up with the idea of a Flat Stanley with ATGATT as a way to get our club members more involved/active. When we draw for door prizes at the club meetings, we draw an extra ticket and someone gets to keep Stanley for a month to include in their travels. Next month, he's returned to the meeting and someone else gets to participate.
I thought I would have troubles getting grown men/women to warm up to Stanley, but was I ever wrong. I wanted just a few photos to put on FaceBook or our Newsletter but I got WAY more. Our members have put together narrated slide shows to give at the monthly meetings! Man, it has exceeded my wildest dreams.
Many of our guys have found Stanley to be quite the ice-breaker with the cute ladies! The boys were fighting over him at the Motorcycle Show! Everyone loves Flat Stanley with a helmet on!
