Does anyone here use a moto mule???

I guess what I REALLY need to ask is if anyone here hooks on up to a 650l?

If so.. . got any pics of hownit connects to the bike?

I'm gonna make one.

Well, it's hollow, but a small hole.

I could maybe drill it out, but that may weaken it too much.

Sure are a lot of different bikes pulling that mule on the FB page. Cost????

No, don't drill it out...

What is the inside dia of it, i'll go measure my bike (DR).

edit
the inside width, including the two bushings (one each side of axle), is 11 - 3/8.. Which I will say is the length of the axle bolt.
the inside dia of the hole running through the axle is 3/8 inch.

I thinking that if yours measures for axle length and hole dia, you might could use the one for the Dr...
wheel dia could come into play is the length of those extensions to for the wheel to clear the pivot on the trailer.
DR rear wheel has an outside dia of about 26 inches.

Just my thought.

I have the 2014 version, with lights, side racks, and extended frame.
If I remember right the cost of that setup was something around 1400.00

I bought my mine used, full setup as above, cost total with shipping from another rider was 900.00

No idea what that one with sidebars cost now.

A torch , grinder and a welder , anything is possible.

I wonder how weird it makes the bike feel.
Can't be much weirder than my worn out steering stem bearings.

I don't notice it all.
Still highway speeds.
Still turns as sharp. Well as long your leaning the bike into the turn.

You cant just walk the bike in tight turn.
On mine the trailing front part will hit the box.

Just keep in mind that its back there.

Does it need a trailer license?
Can you still do wheelies ?
Ground clearance ?

Dang it you got me thinking.

Do not need a trailer license.
It does not have a 'hitch'.
It bolts to bike and is likened to a sidecar.
Motorcycles can have 3 wheels.

I just move the plate from the bike to the back of trailer which has a lic holder, along with the required lic plate, tail, brake and turn signals lights.

Clearance is the same as the DR.
Only time it might high center is if the hill/ridge is really sharp.
Don't think that will ever happen.

Look back at the image posted up there.

Seems like finding the right shock ( air ?) suspension would be the hard part.

actually its the easy part, you go to the friendly local truck dealer parts department and ask for a air bag for a drivers seat. you could even get the mini shock that goes with it.

international produced a air ride seat for straight trucks without air brakes that integrated a switch and mini air pump.

they even make variable damping shocks.
