TWT Folks, for sale is my 1997 KAWASAKI CONCOURS ZG1000

The bike is in great condition for the year and everything works as it should. A bit more than 57K miles.

I bought this bike from a good friend of mine a few months ago. He needed some money for one of his home projects and bought it to help him out. I've "know" this bike since the day he got it 5 years ago and even before that (know the previous owner as well).

Many options have been added to it over the years and here's a list of them:

- Handlebar risers
- Cobra F1-S slip on mufflers
- Headlight Cover - Removable
- Kawasaki backrest
- Fork Brace and Progressive fork springs
- Braided Stainless Steel Brake lines - Front & Rear
- Kawasaki Tank Bra

Original "hard" saddlebags are in great condition as well.

As you guys know, the Connie is an excellent sport-tourer with a wide ratio 6 speed transmission and shaft final drive (Driveshaft / Final gear Seal and fluid replaced 1 year ago). 7.53 gallon fuel tank for long rides. All fluids (engine, drive, brakes, clutch) checked recently (and changed were needed). Recent Coolant flush and thermostat replacement as well.

It is time to let someone else enjoy this great all-around motorcycle. Not enough time to ride it lately and moving pretty soon. She runs great by the way!

The ZG1000 has the best weather protection you can get on two wheels.
Okay, maybe the new RT, but it's certainly the best weather protection on two wheels most of us can AFFORD.

Should have already sold these are great touring bikes that have fantastic weather protection and runs strong. KP

Yeah, I don't know what's going on honestly. She's a bit "old" but she's also in great shape and runs good. Plenty of miles left on her.

I'm in DFW, and ruptured my achilles tendon three weeks ago, and am pretty hobbled up at the moment. I wouldn't even be able to unload off of a trailer were I to come look and possibly get it. If I wasn't hobbled up, I'd take a serious look at this.

I've never been on this model Connie. How is this bike for taller riders? I'm 6'3".

I'm only 5'11" and I feel pretty comfortable every time I take her for a quick ride. If weather protection is what you are concerned about, like KP and others have said above, these bikes are great.

Man this is a great deal. Just rode mine to work yesterday. Connies get around 40 mpg and ride and handle well. They really are good touring bikes with nice locking hard bags with plenty of aftermarket add-ons available for it. Lots of wind and weather protection and all day comfortable. Someone needs to buy this.
