Left the house in kempner with no real plans except for Kaye and I to ride and enjoy the day.

That was accomplished well.

Short ride at 143 miles, but fun roads, little traffic, no drunks we noticed, and only noticed two police cars along the way,,, with perfect timing to avoid unplanned interviews.

Kempner to 190 to FM3170 to CR2223 to FM963 across 183 to FM1174 to FM1431 in to Marble Falls.... IceCream break.. then back down 1431 to COW CREEK RD (CR328) (short break for a drink of water..

.. Which is in pretty good shape compared to the last time we were on it.. no pot holes or otherwise broken road way. Hit FM 1173 and reversed our tracks back home.

Temp was perfect today, tires sticky but not oppressively hot to ride in full vented gear.

Yaaa for a great day, first 1/2 day ride I've done since home.

Day two of GREAT RIDE.... our son Cody was in Marble Falls with friends boating and jumping off cliffs... We needed dinner... nice day.....itching to ride...... Heck,, sounds like dinner in Marble Falls :-D

For those that have never been.. Doc's Fish Camp & Grill is actually a nice place to eat in MF.

We have seen it many times going through town, but never stopped in.

Salads were some of the crispest and freshest we have had in TX..Steak was good, Marinated Chicken was very good, and the Pacific Salmon, for what it is here in TX was not bad at all.

So off we went, geared up, gassed up and a nice run to the lake...

When did Cow Creek get paved? Been a few years since I was last on it, but it was mostly gravel the last time.

Scott, some years back i guess, as the last time I road it was 2-3 years ago and it was an improved road surface then, though in need of repair.
