I've been looking all over the net and at past posts here on twt and I'm stumped. ride 07 1250s and would like to put a givi top case on it. do I need to FZ monorack mounting arms or something different. Have seen different givi hardware with different numbers and I'm at a lost as to which is correct. thank you for your help.

Lots of options. The FZ539 arms are strongest as they mount in multiple places and don't overload the rear frame. The mounting plate will vary according to whether you have a Monolock or Monokey case.

I have listed many different options here: http://kewwibike.blogspot.co.nz/2012/04/can-you-fit-givi-topbox-to-gsf1250-oem.html

I've been alternating between a Givi Monokey topbox and a Cooscase topbox for the past 3 years on my '07 Bandit. The Givi for trips and the Cooscase for local. Both require different mounts to the box. What I did was put on an SW Aluminum Rack and fashioned a plate of 1/4" Aluminum that I pre drill holes in to accept both the Givi and the Cooscase racks.
If you think you want to go that way, I can take pictures of my set up and post them for you as I don't have them on the bike at present. Was trying out just running a tail pak on the passenger seat as I had done 6 years ago , but , after about 400 miles with this set up locally lately, not really fond of it. Probably gonna put the SW / Alu plate rack back on today.

Well, I did go out and put the Cooscase back on. And , even took pictures with my camera phone.
1st is the Alu Rack.

Then the Aluminum Plate which was pre drilled for both the Givi and the Cooscase racks.

And, the Cooscase

a big thank you to you two guys. I went ahead and purchased the givi B37 monolock with the fz539 rack and M505 plate. hope I got it right. next up a longer windshield. the givi 262s looks length wise anyway, like it will fill the bill. also a shop manual, Suzuki,or Haynes or ???? anybody got a favorite? :trust:

The Suzuki is more comprehensive, but Haynes is better for a home mechanic. It doesn't assume extensive knowledge or specialist tools. I have both but find Haynes the most useful

The mounting plate for Monolock is Givi M5M for the Fz539 rack mount (http://www.twistedthrottle.com/givi-m5m-monolock-plate-for-fz-series-monorack-topracks-nylon)
