I am looking for an engine guard for my 2009 KLR 650. I really had my sights set on the Tusk crash bars, but unfortunately the manufacturer says they will not have any ready till Sep 15th. I plan on a week long ride starting sept 16th. Id like to keep my price at 200 bucks or below. I like the Tusk bars for both the price and how high up the bars cover my sides of the bike. Any opinions on other bars? Experience with them? Or should I just wait and get the tusk when they finally come in. I am back and forth on this. Thanks in advance.
 
I've got the T-Rex bars on my Africa Twin.

I can verify they are fairly tough. Don't ask me how I know :)
