Firsts. Or seconds. Or whatever.

Understandable since you already owned a Pinto ... :eek2:

My father bought that. For my sister. Looking back I have to assume he never considered the possibilities and bought it because it was cheap. My sister was the good kid and they probably weren't concerned. I don't remember if the Pinto gas tank fiasco had been revealed yet or not. Or if it included wagons.

One of my all time favorite Hondas Phil. Still like the looks of them even today. Especially the little bikini fairing.

About this time I lost interest in motorcycles. Or more accurately I became interested in the lake.

1986 I think

21 1/2 ft Stryker. 454 Mercruiser Bravo drive.

Picked this boat up Memorial Day weekend 1989. Barrelrolled and sank it July 4th weekend. Collected insurance, repaired it, kept it till March of 93

26 ft Thouroughbred. 502 Mercruiser. Thought I was the cat's meow. Then I took it to Lake Travis and learned what big boats really looked like

Thanks. Mine too. Every once in a while I look for another. I always decide the money would be better spent on newer technology. So far.

You guys just think bike mods are expensive. Put the word "marine" in front of it. Harleys and Corvettes got nothing.

About 30 years ago, some wag in the Pentagon calculated that, at the price of bombs, it would actually be cheaper for the Air Force to drop Volkswagons on the enemy. My thought was --- yeah, but dropping Pintos on them would be much more effective, while at the same time doing a great service to American drivers.

I bought a used 1984 Honda Interceptor 500 my freshman year of college. It replaced an ugly CB450T Hawk that I loved, but it wasn't cool. I had the 500 for a few years. Stripped the wheels to bare metal. Sanded off the ugly pink pinstriping. Made a 4 into 1 collector to have a single pipe. Traded it in in 1993 on a new Bandit 400. My wife caught me in all my 1992 goofy haried glory, age 21, on a bike.
