In TX it can be loaded and within the reach. And you can use it to stop deadly force. PC 46.02 http://www.txdps.state.tx.us/Interne...rms/CHL-16.pdf

They were both wrong. The Joe Rocket racer for going very fast in a retail establishment and the punk in the tuner car for racing against the squid on the bike.

Having a helmet cam while commuting is a great idea, especially if you need proof in a court of law.

I- phone 5 can be recording video in three presses.
The act of looking like you are calling 911 is often enough to get rid of them

Trying to fire up the video on the phone (Android) takes way too many clicks for a high pressure situ. I need to find an app that can make it 1-2 clicks at the most. Anybody know of one?
Check in the "accessibility" settings. Mine has a function were I can set an app to open when I double tap the home button. Mine is set to camera.

If you are no-crap in fear for your life, but why else would you pull it out anyways, then legally you are justified.
I carry on a daily basis, pretty much everywhere i go, except the places i legally cant, and work-because i go thru metal detectors there and id get fired.
And i have had 2 occasions where i thought i might need to actually draw. One of which i got to the point, where hand was on the grip, and securing strap was released.... but luckily the guy didnt push any further, seeing where my hand was, and he left without incident.
Another incident where i was in Seattle, and my gf and i had someone following/pacing(about 5 feet back) us for many blocks...eye-balling my gun... I was open carrying at the time, in WA that is legal... and until i made it known that i knew he was there, she and i both felt an imminent threat, but once he knew i wasnt so oblivious, he went on his way. She had 911 dialed and just needed to hit send, and i was ready for a gun-grab and/or a fight. The guy looked like he had no chance of overpowering me, so i didnt anticipate actually drawing/using my gun, but i was ready for a fight for sure. We can only guess that his plan was to steal my gun and use it to rob us.

Not fond of such situations, but like to be prepared just in case.
