With a heavy heart I have to make a quick sale of my only running bike. Things have been tough and I'm having to sell off what I can. I bought this bike from a member I guess its been two years back now. I haven't been able to ride much and it needs a new home.

Thanks for the heads up, Jeff. Drew also alerted me. I bought this wonderful, solid BMW on Ebay. It was gone through by a man who had been a BMW tech. I believe he bought it to use it as a sidecar hack. But he found an original boxer sidecar unit and decided to use that instead. From what I remember of the bike when I owned it, Keith has done some good upgrades and it's worth his asking price. I always loved the feel of the Brembo brakes, the German sports car rasp when it reached 5,000 and the confidence it gave cornering.

I blew the proceeds of the sale on another ebay bike and lost my shirt. My savings account isn't what it used to be, sorry Keith.

I appreciate the opportunity you gave me in passing the bike on to me. I have no savings now which is why it is up for sale.

This bike loves to be pushed and higher rpm's seem to make it really happy, the giddy like a school girl kind of happy.

I would love to buy this is I sell my Vision or my M3. I've been lusting after one of the these since about 1999 when I was shopping for my first ride.

That is a very cool bike and the price should have folks knowledgeable about the brick motor coming out of the woodwork. Somebody is going to be very happy to have it. I would, but I already have mine ....!

I'm just up in Princeton if you'd like to see it in person.

I'm cash poor.....like most others. I have to get rid of something to add something. I'm sure it will be gone before I could make it happen. I'll keep following the post though...between here and the other BIG sight I've seen it three times in the last 10 minutes. I have a problem :(

There weren’t a lot of cool things to come out of the 80s, but that bike is one of them. I’ve always thought they looked great.

Getting a new front tyre soon, getting fresh fluids and replacing the crank case vent hose.

I still have it and could do a price drop. I have a new front tyre to go on as well.

I should have bought this rather than repair my M3....bad choice.
