GS can do!

One last reason to stand. Even a trials rider would complain about that seat. I think there should be a licensing system for owning tools with mandatory drug testing.

"For sale we have a 1979 Honda CB750F that has been restored and customized to become a street/dirt tracker...
Now, from the pictures I'm sure you can tell that this bike is not like the other ones out there with fancy paint, etc. This bike was built to be raw, reliable and most of all USABLE. This is a bike that you could bar hop around town on or hit the dirt trail a bit! The goal was to have this thing look like it just rolled off the set of Mad Max...and I believe we accomplished that."

I sit most miles. I stand when it feels good or need to see something or need to ride over obstacles or there's some other good reason. I have three sets of pegs to change seating positions to avoid too much pressure in the same spot for too long to reduce pain, otherwise I'd do more standing. A retro style flat seat allows moving the contact point fore and aft, which also adds significant locations for pressure, keeping the ride comfortable significantly more miles. A slight change is sitting position on a bike without a fairing or windshield can make or break a comfortable lean into the airflow, witch changes with speed, traffic, and wind speed and direction. Tons of options in seating position pretty much makes standing for comfort irrelevant, but sometimes standing just feels good after and during big miles. I know standing helps getting through some technical stuff, but on pavement in traffic, I'd rather the quicker defensive maneuvers seated properly. I don't see road racers do much standing.

Depends on the weight in the top case and I'd want TKC 80s on the bike, but sure :flip:

Standing on a GS helps move the Starbucks through the digestive system.

I saw similar signs up north where bears were hungry and in central Australia where road trains toss rocks the size of softballs at you with an impact potential of 200+mph. Of course I left knobby tracks at both locations. :rider:

For the haters!

Didn't see this day coming! I now have more BMW's (2), than KTM (1)! Dirtyryder won me over!

Congrats Rob, that's an excellent choice.

So far, it's a little "sporty" on ride position but seems doable. 1290 and 800 pretty much same type bike and really prefer the 800 on dirt., although neither great in dirt but acceptable. So decided to try something else. This is a much smaller "feeling" bike, 1290 was big looking over the front! Was a nice ride tho.

Let me know when you can sneak away for a little while and we can do a quick ride. Working this Saturday, usually it's Thursday or Friday. Might end up being 2 days for a while.

, not you too!

Lol
coming from the guy that now has more KTM's than you. Heck I had 3 of them a month ago, sold the 250SX before it killed me. Too fast and too much air on the track gave me ER nightmares. I'll stick to slow and low vintage MX only.

You the man, I went from 3 to 1 almost overnight. Wasn't totally planned. Heck if I sold the 450 I'd be getting the new Honda RX and not even have a KTM! Weird.
