Stayed close to home and went to San Pedro about 20 minutes or so away to get some ocean views and then hit the lighthouse cafe for some french toast Another beautiful winter day here in SoCal. Only bad thing that happened was a older lady fell in the diner and hit her head as i was leaving. Stopped by the USS Iowa of a couple of photos.

That breakfast sure looked great, what was the bowl that you left some? What's a meal like that cost on west coast. Here in Thorndale about 9-10 bucks. Nobody serves French toast though around this area, just biscuits and gravy.

That was the salsa that i didn't use in the bowl. The french toast, eggs, & ham then i added a side of hash browns with tax it came to $12.97 The food there is real good. I love biscuits & gravy. If your a chicken fried steak lover, Your out of luck out here. i was a cook at the original black eyed pea restaurant on camp bowie in ft.worth when i was a teenager so i make my own out here.

Very cool. The weather and the ocean is the main reason I want to move back to So Cal in the next couple years. It's amazing.

Yep the weather the ocean and some great roads to ride out here make it worth staying. It's nice when your just 20 minutes from the ocean and a little over an hour away from the mountains.

Yeah I have a few friends with cabins in Big Bear. I came to Tx after the military since I could buy a house here for a price that wouldn't get me a front door off a house in Southern California :puke: After living here a while though those prices seem appropriate for everything it allows you to have access too

Yep, House prices here are nuts. My girlfriend inherited 2 homes in Belmont Shores between Long Beach and Huntington Beach We sold the one just about a 5 minute walk to the ocean for 825,000.00 several years ago and rent out the one about a half mile from the ocean.

Have a couple of buddies from the UK that have been here for years. One has a place in Big Bear the other a place in Lake Arrowhead.

Those breakfast pics made me hungry and I just finished eating!
