On July 5th I am heading to the BMW Rally in Redmond, Oregon. I am staying on pavement most of the way up with a little off pavement around Moab. I plan to stay at the Rally for about 4 days and then head east to Yellowstone. From Yellowstone, I plan to hook up on the Continental Divide (goodbye pavement) all the down through most of New Mexico before heading home.

Anyone interested in joining me for any or this entire trip? If interested, post up or PM me and I will send you my itinerary. Although I am heading to a BMW rally, this invite is open to anyone on any type of bike.

This will be about a 4 or 5 week trip and I plan to camp the entire time.

Anyone?

I will be leaving for Nelson, BC on June 28th, will be there until July 4th, then over to Vancouver, BC for 3 weeks (work), then start heading home (some undetermined route) on July 29th ish.
I think I'll probably come down through oregon, washington, utah (go route through/around moab) then home to lubbock.

If our scheduels are reasonably close, I'd like to join up and ride together for a bit. I don't do much off roading with my touring bike, but, am always up for riding with other folks. So, let me know what your itinerary looks like and we'll see :)

Redmond for the BMW Rally! What a great spot! I lived there for three years, 1996 - 1999. If you've never been to that area before you're in for a treat. The geography is varied, to say the least.

Wow 4 - 5 weeks, very cool.

Hey Beve,
Following is my current itinerary. Looks like we will be passing each other in the wind. I would love to hook up and ride together, but you will already be there before I even leave and then I will be attempting to come home via back roads (Continental Divide) on the way home. Do you see any way to alter schedule?

I am taking slab on the way up because I have to be there by July 13th and I can gage how long it will take via slab pretty good. Coming back, I don’t really know how long that will take but I don’t have any time constraints.
