GONE: 2004 V-Strom 1000

SOLD via CL. You guys are slackin!

Between dad duties and work, I've only ridden this thing a handful of times in the past year, so it is for sale to free up space and fill the vacation fund It has been my favorite "do it all" bike for many years.

Full synthetic rotella t6 every 2500-3000mi.
4 piston GSXR Tokico binders in front on SV Racing adapters.
SS front lines.
Newish -1F, standard rear with gold xring JT chain. Wheel bearings all around.
Powercommander 3.
Secondary plates removed but available.
Factory gel seat.
Eastern Beaver headlight relay kit.
LED compatible flasher relay
OEM stator replaced recently
MOSFET rectifier (cbr?)
Moose ATV bars
Aprilla mirrors
New AGM battery (

Great deal for a cool bike. Who needs a new Africa Twin.

This bike is less than TT&L and delivery on a new 1000.

And suzuki Vtwin 1000's will go forever.

I alwas wondered If I would like a v-strom 1000, coming from my 86 inline four "superbike".
Did the sv racing brake parts make adifference?
Are the Tokiko callipers original stock?

The calipers are stock parts off gsx600r if I remember correctly. They came on the bike when I got it, but seem better than the factory ones on others' bikes. They don't make it stop like a sportbike, they feel like what SHOULD have been standard equipment.
