Weekly Joe Fink Memorial BBQ lunch

You know us BMW riders.

That's a fur piece from Waco on a Beemer...
Of course, you could use it as an opportunity to regale us with how well Team Green is doing in the outdoors.

I don't blame you, Joe. If it wasn't close to home I wouldn't be willing to brave the heat either. Hope to see you as regular when things cool back off a little bit.

...

News Flash @@@@@@
My wife knows the Mallet family. She was told today that Mallet Bros opened a new BBQ joint in Madisonville across from Bucees on 21. There are four now. I'm told its pretty good ?

Their place in Navasota is very good.

Friday the 15th in Madisonville at McKenzie. Maybe dirtyryder and rsquared can make it. Silver bullet, jfink, league city ride, lol.

Aah was thinking to post for the same place last Friday but forgot. Stopped there on my way north running away from Harvey and ready for more. It's my favorite place for pork ribs east of Camp Wood. This week I can't go though. Dirty Joe can go olin my place.

We had 7 at the love bug fest. Thanks

That's about what my helmet and bike looked like after last Sunday's ride and since I'm not much of a bike washer it's parked this weekend .

Something different this time. Glenn suggested this. South of the steak house in Leona on 75.

296 S Leona Blvd, 75850

About 11:30 to beat their lunch crowd. Good FM roads in area if interested.

Friday 10-13-17

Posting early this week for all to plan and shuffle their schedules.

I talked to the owner's wife today and she agreed to "off" menu dinner plate ordering as well; Chicken Parmesan, Rueben sandwich, CFS, etc. She also stressed how well stocked their salad bar is.

How about we make this an informal celebration for the passing of our good friend and riding buddy Larry Faulk "Buelligan" I am unable to attend his funeral on Thursday. Prefer a more upbeat event to honor him myself anyway.

After lunch I plan to ride and loop around the area's twisty roads. Depending on who wants to join and what type of bike they have, could add in some dirt/gravel and forest service roads as well.

Can someone please cross post this on ODODB website. I've never started a meetup on there before.

No way! I had not heard about Larry. Very sad. I agree with upbeat and plan to attend.

Started a Meetup page for you.

Started a Meetup page for you.

Thanks Rob. I hope you are able to join us?

Thanks Rob, I found that one after I saw this. I started several times to write something, but I could not find the words. Larry will be missed.

Exactly the same for me. I'm never one to just bump a thread with RIP. Guess I'm just a private mourner. I thought about this alot while riding back from TN. Each passing of a friend brings mortality that much closer and gives me more motivation to keep riding, traveling and enjoying life more. Never count on tomorrow, eventually time runs out and it never comes.

Exactly! The question has always been there for me, why does this happen? Someone is here and then inexplicably gone. Take care of yourself and maybe you will live longer, but not forever. Enjoy life, but the question is still there. It's natures way, I understand. Someday it will be my turn; but today, it's Larry's. RIP buddy!

Last chance bump before today's lunch. If you're stuck at work you might need to leave early today. Lots of flu and viruses going around; Friday flu, World Series virus, etc.

I'm under the weather but still going to try and make it today. Thanks for setting up.
