Some great hill country riding during by day and Octoberfest activities by night. Temps should be perfect.

Not appealing at all.
Too many folks ... too much alcohol.

I think I'm headed north and east sometime around then.
 
The Harvest Classic is Oct. 21 and 22 this year. Love the trials, and antique bike show. It was mostly rained out last year. I love it but so crowded and so is Fredericksburg. But it is for charity. We will combine it with antiquing in town. Maybe Nimitz Museum again.
Oktoberfest or anything else in Fredericksburg on weekends is wall to wall people, but fun.
