It looks like the AMSA family ride day is back on. The last post by one of the trail crew over on TON seems to imply this coming weekend but he hasn't posted dates yet. Confirmation to come.

"We have put in a lot of cool trail at Walnut Creek today. It's drying up and it was moist but tacky today.

The Hard section that goes along the edge of the big creek is going to be marked Expert due to a couple of awkward logs that I can't move. The roller coaster stuff is in now too, marked Hard. The Easy trail will be great for all skill levels.

Near the beginning of the loop you can choose to turn right for the Sand Track or left for the Woods Track. Then at the end of the Sand Track you can choose to go left to go back into it or go straight to continue the trail to the Woods Track. The woods track is mostly tight trail with the usual creek beds where they aren't muddy. The sand track is the upper part of the property and you can rail it when it's damp like today.

We'll be parking in the open area off of Pleasant Chapel Rd because the pecan bottom where we usually park is still soft. A few people can get in OK but the traffic from a ride day will be too much and it'll turn to mud.

Rusty has brought in a full-time cook and the cafe will be open for Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner.

This will be a fun one!

Greg"

We are on for this Sunday. Parking will be opposite Rusty's horse arena on Pleasant Chapel road, not in the pecan bottom next to the creek as usual.
