John's Louisiana Ride Down Memory Lane

Cool report! Thanks. A few years ago, I visited one of the places from my childhood in Northeast Alabama. We only lived there for one year while I was in the 6th grade, but that was one of the coolest places and times of my life. Very Calvin & Hobbes like with woods, creeks, tree houses, etc,... I really was weird seeing how everything had changed in the last 20 years. Memories long since forgotten came flooding back. I spent an entire day here and it was totally worth it.

Memory Lane

Adios,

 Man John,

That trip sounds like it was a real gas. I especially liked the part about the guard at Barksdale. I guess you never know when a guy, riding a beemer, loaded to the teeth with gear, may ride up  . I realy like that area of East Texas/Louisiana, did a ride out there last summer, lots of sweepers and tight roads amoungst the tall pies, very cool.

Nice right up and glad to hear you made it back without major incident.

Nice report and write-up, John. Funny, I've noticed the same thing about casino bathrooms. The only one I've ever seen more lavish than at a casino was, strangely enough, on a military base.
