Re: Enduros?

Thanks folks! I'll be trying these ideas. I start chugging Gatoraid and chewing those Bloks gummy things about an hour before lining up. It's helped but I still need to get some relief about an hour in.

Now that's pretty doggone clever. I really like to see stuff that's built by folks who use it.

Re: Enduros?

I picked up a small enclosed trailer this weekend, will serve as bike transport & an Ocker camper. Either I'm committed or someone's going to get a great deal on used Enduro kit from my widow!

Have you been able to swing a leg over a 2017 KTM two stroke? It may not be a practical solution to change bikes, but I will say that they do not vibrate--it is uncanny. You wouldn't even need to ride one. Twist the throttle in neutral and it is a whole new ball game. The counter balanced KTM two strokes change the game for smoothness. Wait until 2018 and most likely they will be fuel injected as well. 2019 at the latest.

I made the switch to four stokes 16 years ago and am happy but the new counter balanced two strokes from KTM will make you think twice.

Re: Enduros?

Y'all have fun in Sweetwater today. Wish I could make it but work calls, I was looking forward to this one too as the campers next to me in Lubbock are the organizers. I'm actually in the same hotel as the Yamaha Supercross team this weekend which is a bit ironic.

Re: Enduros?

Wasn't that race a "sprint" enduro? Think I'd get too tired without a few check points to slack around for a bit. Dunno, never rode one.

Re: Enduros?

Yes, Concho is a pretty technical. I wouldn't really call it tree tight though. Lots of cedar trees. The C course usually has some fun open type stuff, but they have some really rocky terrain. Youtube Concho enduro. You will find some good footage of past races. I always enjoy that race, but never really done to well there.

Re: Enduros?

Concho was a hoot! It has it all...rocks, hills, sand...you name it. The most technical race I've run so far. The facilities are good and the club members are all over the place at check points to help you out. Cookies at a check point! Way cool.

Caveat: The long course is very technical. This would not be fun for someone just getting their feet wet.

Re: Enduros?

Sorry I missed it, I was on the West Coast but tried to get back for the weekend at least, however the gods of equipment shipping were having none of it.

Re: Enduros?
