Re: LE MANS
I'll watch some of the early season Nascar races until everybody else gets going and I used to follow it a lot more in the 80's. Given a chance I might go but there are other events that I would rather spend the money on. I still think the cars are a lot more higher tech than most racing fans give them credit for. CART was always my favorite back then until they went and screwed up everything, just not the same new even with reunification. I toyed with drag racing as a teen, my dad did it some when I was younger, like motocross (the real kind, not stadium/arena-cross, never really liked that version) I just kind of lost interest in it as I got older.
Ultimately sports car racing has always have been my favorite. I hope to have my own car to run in the next couple of years in SCCA/NASA and maybe BMWCCA if I stick with a BMW. Waiting until we buy or build a house up here in Colorado so I have some extra garage space for everything. Rally is something that I would like to try, there just aren't that many events in this part of the country. There were none in Texas in recent Colorado has a few and the nationals have been held in Tulsa for the past few years, so it seems to be growing some.
