The Kawasaki Concours, known in Europe as the GTR1000 and in USA as the ZG1000, is a 997 cc, six speed, four cylinder, liquid-cooled 100 HP sport touring motorcycle with shaft drive. The bike is a very capable, high speed tourer that offers nimble handling and – with its full fairing, tall screen, twin locking panniers, and 7.4 US gal fuel capacity – is suited for anything from commuting to cross-country two-up touring. This is a 1995 version which is considered Generation 2 and has roots in the famous Kawasaki KZ900 (Ninja) engine. The Gen 2 bikes were manufactured between 1994 and 2006 (all virtually identical) at which time Kawasaki changed to the 1400cc engine.

The model has a major following and an exceptional set of dedicated owners (The Concours Owners Group – COG). Check them out at: http://concours.org/ . You can find Owner reviews there as well as technical and historical information.

This bike is in excellent condition, has been fully restored), has a clean blue title, all fluids have been changed, as have the plugs & Air Filter. A top end service was completed (Valves) just 100 miles ago (current 45,250 miles) . The 4 Keihin Carbs have been synced and it has good rubber. It’s a sweet ride on the Freeway at 75+ and gobbles up miles like no tomorrow. It comes with a factory Service Manual, key for the panniers and ignition, etc..

Bike is in Dallas and has been a daily commuter there for the past couple of months.

$3250, Open to offers. Show up with Cash & Riding Gear if you expect to do a demo ride.

I somehow forgot the put the mileage in the write-up but have added it now. It averaged less than 2500 miles per year.. These are very strong engines and will go 65 to 75,000 if you keep clean oil in them and decent fuel. They are super easy to service (with the shaft drive) which encourages you to "keep the maintenance up".
