Re: TWT Gentleman could use your support.

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your lovely wife Melanie.

Psalm 41:3 The LORD sustains them on their sickbed and restores them from their bed of illness.

Re: TWT Gentleman could use your support.

Update: Melanie is getting a little better everyday. Mobility continues to improve which is a huge praise. Because of the blood thinner other healing is going slower than expected. She was in to see the hematologist today and her blood count was so low they told her she needs to stop driving and get off her feet as much as possible. She needs to be on her feet to help other healing and to improve mobility so trying to balance everything that we are supposed to be doing is challenging. I had to come home from work again today to help around the house. I have ongoing concerns about my performance at work. It's a hard to keep up with everything going on with both work and home. I keep trusting that God has got this but I do get weary.

Again, thanks for all the prayers. It's working and much appreciated.

Hang in there. She will recover, and after she's made a full recovery, you can look back and see it has made your relationship stronger. One day at a time ! ! !

Re: TWT Gentleman could use your support.

Just found this and will add you to my prayer list. I understand your pain as I have been through a cancer journey with my wife. God is good and has continued to use the experience in both of our lives to bring glory and honor to him. Stay strong for your wife and stay in the Word. Take care brother.

Yes, thank you for asking. She's a fighter and getting better everyday. We are exiting what the doctors call the danger zone for her blood clot. She'll be on blood thinners for another 3 to 12 months depending on what the hematologist tells us at every 6 week visit. She still tires very easily but getting better. I am still picking up extra daddy duty which is no big deal until she gets better or it just becomes the new norm. I've been making my son's lunches and Melanie says he loves my "gourmet" meals and he wants daddy to keep making his lunches.

Really appreciate all the prayers and support. Still could use them as she still needs more healing and I need to balance all the demands from work and home.

Thanks!!

Re: TWT Gentleman could use your support.

Update: Blood Clot has dissolved.

Great to be out of the danger zone. The surgery messed up some of her internal chemical balance. Still working on that but overall everything is much better.

Thanks again for everyone who prayed for us and supported us through this life event.

Lord, let us thank you for your healing hand on Melanie! Please continue to heal her and bless this family, if it be Thy will. Forgive us where we fail you. In your Son's name I pray, Amen

Lies are fragile. They require constant attentiveness to keep them alive. The exposure of a single truth can rip through an ocean of lies, evaporating it instantly. - Brandon Smith

If you want government to intervene domestically, you’re a liberal. If you want government to intervene overseas, you’re a conservative. If you want government to intervene everywhere, you’re a moderate. If you don’t want government to intervene anywhere, you’re an extremist. — Joe Sobran

It is no crime to be ignorant of economics, which is, after all, a specialized discipline and one that most people consider to be a ‘dismal science.' But it is totally irresponsible to have a loud and vociferous opinion on economic subjects while remaining in this state of ignorance. – Murray N. Rothbard

When one possessed of the Truth suffers from a heavy heart he is susceptible to a more dangerous affliction — the craving for power to eradicate error, to cause Truth to triumph by force. - Frank Chodorov

Where politicians flourish, long history has harshly taught us, people and their liberty wither. Where the state is god and the "public interest" worshipped, individual man will be found bleeding upon the altar. - Karl Hess

The accepted wisdom is that without the state, society would collapse into lawlessness and crime. In fact, lawlessness and crime define the very nature of the state and the society organized by it. - Bionic Mosquito

But the myth of the rule of law does more than render the people submissive to state authority; it also turns them into the state's accomplices in the exercise of its power. For people who would ordinarily consider it a great evil to deprive individuals of their rights or oppress politically powerless minority groups will respond with patriotic fervor when these same actions are described as upholding the rule of law. - John Hasnas

Life event test turned to testimony of good news. Faith is the substance of things hoped for. Thank you Father God.
