My first post! Just picked up a motorcycle after several years of not owning one. Did 700 miles on my first two weekends. Planning on another 600 miles THIS weekend!

I know this is way late notice but you never know. I planned a ride from DFW up through OK and AR. Going to hit the Indian Hwy and the Talimena Scenic Byway. Have 5 bikes going so far. My vstrom, an indian, a harley, a Kawi Vulcan, and a Trike. Should be a great weekend ride with twisty roads and fantastic views in the Ouachita mountains. Total distance about 630 miles.

This is a two day Saturday-Sunday ride. Anyone and everyone is welcome.

Riding motorcycles through the Indian highway and talimena scenic byway. Meeting at the Quiktrip in Greenville TX at 7am Saturday Morning. The roads we will be on are curvy and all two lane roads. No highways. And there are many scenic overlook picture oportunities along the way. Especially along the Talimena Scenic Byway.

We can either get lunch in Talihena OK or in Mena Arkansas depending on when we get hungry. I know a great spot in both towns.

Staying in Hot springs Saturday night at the Hotel Hot Springs.

While in Hot Springs it would be fun to visit the look out tower. The road leading to it is very windy and lots of fun

For Dinner and Drinks in Hot Springs the best Place is Maxine's Live. Good Home made food including pizza and fantastic drinks. Also within walking distance from our hotel.

Then riding back Sunday and stopping for lunch in Broken Bow Oklahoma at the Grateful Head Pizza Oven and Taproom.

If you look at it on a phone it likes to change the route. We will be riding the talimena scenic byway. And I've been through there so much I know the entire route by heart.

3 of us will have our wives riding pillion.

Will do.

I want to do a trip over the Kiamichi Trail from Indian Hwy over to Mena and camp out. But my bike isnt ready for that yet. Need to set it up.

There's LOTS of good riding in this area. :rider:

Tomorrow is the day! Weather is looking fantastic. Partly Cloudy with a high of 92 and a low of 73. That is for Mena Arkansas

Looking forward to this road!

The Hot Springs Tower road is a lot of fun, but the ticket for speeding on it is rather severe as they will try to push the competition of speed if more than one bike is over the limit.

It became a favorite local fast sprint and enforcement was fierce for a few years. It is a federal ticket since the whole city is actually a National Park.

I miss living in Arkansas

New jacket just arrived via fed ex. Just in time for the ride
