Replacing dirt bike grips, rubber. The grips came with glue, said it dries in 5 seconds, liars, probably in 3 seconds. Anyway I'm not fast enough or strong enough to get on with this glue. Any tips?

Heat gun to soften and twist.
Peeling the grip back onto itself (like a banana) lessens the contact surface.

Once off, clean the old glue off using brake cleaner, mineral spirits and some other solvent.

Slide the new grip on without glue. Heat gun helps a lot.
Once in place, peel the grip back, apply the glue and then roll the grip back into place.

If you have access to an air compressor and an air gun/nozzle for it, you can stick the tip of the nozzle in the small hole at the end of the grip, hit the lever, and it will expand the grip so it will just slide on. You may need to plug up the other end of the bars to make it work; depends on how much pressure the air gun will put out. Also, make sure the grip is correctly oriented before sliding it on.

I'll try pulling grip back, like that!

heck no, they just came off the 450 while riding. It was real wet while on trailer and riding, guess moisture worked in. Needed anyway. New ones are RED, lol.
