Lewisville Tx newbie

Hey folks, just checking in. I ride a Kawa Vulcun Nomad 1600, recent upgrade from Vstar 1100. Much nicer for me and Mrs on the highway. We usually do local rides n rallys with a few overnighters thrown in. We are doing BBB in Fayetteville this coming weekend.

After reading through this site and ADV rider forum I started to consider a second bike. We found and bought a clean Yamaha TW200 last week but it seems I'm third in line to get saddle time there as Mrs has claimed it with my son right behind her.

We are new to dual sport so we are taking it slow and having fun.

Hope to make a future pie run

I lived in Lewisville in the late 80s early 90s. I don't miss the interstate ride to Carrollton where I worked or the whole dry-county thing. But it was nice being out in the country. N Valley Pkwy was hardly developed in those days, lots of open space.

Welcome to the forum. Like cheez said, watch for the Thursday Night Irregulars. We make it up that way sometimes.

Lots of knowledge about dual sport riding here. That is what I started out doing.

Don't know how I missed this... I'm next door in Flower Mound. Welcome to the forum!

If you get a chance, try to catch a few folks at breakfast some time at the Blue Hangar.

Howdy and welcome! Just to the south of you in Coppell here. There is a little dirt to the north and west of you. We really should get out and map those roads one day for the ntx dual sport project.
