Howdy, y'all! Some buddies and I are riding the sisters this weekend, but I want to throw some dirt roads in the mix. Any recommendations?

Dirt Roads around Utopia, Leakey, Barksdale, and Vanderpool?

Check with Richard "Trail Boss" Gibbens. He sells a great guide to the Texas Hill Country. It has info on all the little out of the way roads and such. Unfortunately, there are not as many public dirt roads in that area as you might think. Those that exist are rapidly being paved.
Go south on 462 out of Tarpley. About a mile or so, there's a right veer off for Ross road. That road is dirt, and will take you all the way to South of utopia. There's lots of other dort roads that connect to it.

We did that one back at the end of May. The water was UP on the many crossings and they were slick! Should be fine now though. It was a nice ride!
