It looks like we may have a pretty Saturday before spring sets in again on Sunday with another 70% chance of thunderstorms. The recent flooding has damaged several roads in the Fayette county area so before you plan a spirited ride to Orsaks or Murphy's, check the list below.
The following roads are damaged and may be closed:
FM 3233 at Cozy Corner
FM1094 between Columbus and New Ulm
Plum Church Road
Owl Creek Road
Copperhead road (north of Winchester)
Mueller Road near Rutersville
Roznov Road at Warrenton
Haw Creek Road
Coufal Road
Creamer Creek Road low water crossing
Dungens Mill low water crossing
Mensik Road & Bohuslav roads near Ammannsville
Adamcik Road in Dubina
Secate/Klimer Roads low water crossing
Brunes Mill Road in Colorado County
These are mostly all weather roads, so that may give some idea of how rough it was. La Grange received record rains of over 10 inches and Cummins Creek that runs roughly from Giddings to Columbus was moving more water than the Colorado river at one point. Expect surrounding counties to be just as bad.
Have fun, stay safe, enjoy the ride and don't attempt the low water crossings for another few weeks, especially on Cummins Creek.
