Dual Sport Breakfast - 9AM Saturday, December 17, 2016 @ the OST in Bandera - PLUS

I am trailering up from Katy Saturday early, should be there around 8:30 or 9:00. I will trailer back after the ride, looking forward to doing some roads I have not done south of Bandera. I love that part of Texas, and always enjoy riding the hill country. I am planning on bringing the super tanker Klr for this ride. I really enjoy the kaboom 1190 though. See you all Saturday morning at OST for breakfast. If anyone from Houston area needs to trailer I have room. PM me if ou need a lift:trust::trust:

If you want a straight drive, I could meet you at Sammy's Restaurant in Castroville and we could ride up and back together. Other riders have left tow vehicles there in the past for the day. Or at the Stienbach House.

We would need to be heading out of town by 815a though.

Or if we leave by 8a we could take a side trip up and down Mt. Castroville, really Mont Gentilz.

Sammy's would probably be best.

I'll ride over about 745a, on my white DR650, for an 8a KSU if you want to take a ride up and down Mont Gentilz.

Then we'll DSit to Bandera.

Sounds good to me, see ya at 8.

After doing some recon, the Stienbach House looks like a better option for parking, it's next door to Sammy's, on the west side. Sammy's sign indicated if you're parked in their lot you'd better be eating or your vehicle will be moving, with you driving or behind a tow truck.

See y'all tomorrow!

For the ride out of town.

I was looking forward to this but I think I'm going to spend the day turning wrenches instead. I've got three bikes that need some TLC which has been neglected because I've been too busy flogging the crap out of them on all my off-time.

Just wanted to say thanks for letting Baxter and I tag along today! Had a great time and met some nice people. See you guys next time!

Like the November breakfast, it seems the worse the weather is the larger the turnout.

Pretty hardcore group today, a nasty, misty morning produced bad vision and slick roads but still great fun and got to meet and ride with some great new riders to the group.

Two riders started the morning in Houston and went back after the ride! A long day and lots of miles!
