Cool! I'd love to do some Europe riding on a Strom. For that matter, I wouldn't mind a crack at that Trans Alp, either. Good pix. Thanks for posting.

Agree with Tim except I'd rather be on my Bandit! Thanks for sharing.

The Transalp was not running at top shape for most of the day. For some reason whatever was causing it to run bad cleared up by the end of the day. I really enjoyed the Strom. Kinda makes me want one. VERY comfortable and plenty of power.

Probably water in the fuel (Due to the Ethanol), that you just burnt out.. I would still be looking to drain the fuel from the tank and checking it (Had the bike sat for a while without being used?).. any water in the fuel, will sit on the bottom (Gasoline floats on top of water) so the fuel pick up on the bottom of the tank, will take the water rather than the gas!! If you ride, it all get shaken up and mixed a bit, so the engine will run but poorly, once the water has been used then the bike will run completely normally again...

Thanks for posting the pics.

They were rental bikes and I wasn't on the transalp I was on the Strom which ran great. So it wasn't high on my priority list lol

Rental bikes, well that's a different matter. We all know rental vehicles are designed to run on lower grade fuel, to wheelie and do stoppies better than a regular bike, they also have stronger frames so that you can carry more stuff  and they have special tyres to allow burnouts.. :trust:

As long as they got you to the mountain and back, that's all you need.. I would not spend any time fixing a rental either!! :rider:
