Haven't been riding it at all since I bought my Tenere . I have owned it since it was almost like new. Mikuni TM 40 pumper carb.Clark 4.3 fuel tank. Bark busters . Baja designs re-wound upgraded stator. All bearings have been cleaned and re-greased. Upgraded foot pegs bolts . Recent fork seals . I'm old and can't remember everything I've done to it BUT I do remember it always starting very easy. LOL.

I'll get a current pic this evening.

At the rate I'm riding I'll most likely be listing my plated KTM380EXC also [emoji22]

Re: 2002 XR650R $3400 street legal.

Been on many a ride with JMZ on this bike. It's as fast and reliable as any normal person would want. Here is the only known footage of him having trouble starting it. He had to put it in neutral.

Yeah, he needs to put his starting technique wearing crocs on a thumb drive and give it to the next owner. :lol2:

Title is at my house. I've taken it to big bend twice, hideen falls once and ridden it to Bastrop three times . The rest of the miles have been gravel roads around my area. I would guess maybe 5k miles .

...I would guess maybe 5k miles .

I would guess even less than 5k. I've been riding with JMZ since he's had this bike and know he's only bought and wore out one new rear tire.

Yes most likely less than 5k and your right , only one new tire but I've mounted a few used ones ,LOL. It's not the friendliest bike to rear tires.

It is sprung heavy. I have the factory springs also.

It's not an unprecedented move, to 2UP an XRR, or so JMZ tells me.

That’s very impressive; anyone who can ride 2-up on those kinds of trails! Where does she put her feet?

He has a custom two up seat with a step up for her and a set of buddy pegs that are bolted to the frame. They have entered the NORRA 1000 desert event and I believe they finished. If you scroll down you see a side shot of their bike.

The places these two go is a testament to the capability and durability of these bikes. If someone is looking for a dual sport with true dirt ability the XR650R should not be overlooked.

We need to find out what tires they are using.

Sold on CL and a donation going to the site . I think the new owner is a lurker on here.

So did you advertise it as “ran great last time it was started” on CL? That usually hooks them every time. :lol2:
Congratulations with sale! :thumb:

LOL. It started first real kick when the buyer showed up. And a half kick after that when warm. This bike was in really great shape other than boot rub marks. I'll Just say the bike was sprung great for the new rider [emoji12]
