Nah... I'm not even close to being one of the Big Dogs, most of whom are either retired or have well paying jobs with a lot of time freedom.

I'd ride more if I was retired, but then if I was retired I couldn't afford to ride more.

Its a big ol country to discover which you have found out and probably plan on finding more! :thumb:

Yep. Flying to Boston in June, renting a bike and doing the rest of the lower 48 that I haven't hit yet.

For those that may pooh-pooh me for not riding my own bike, I still have to fly Brenda into Boston because she can't handle the long, intense rides any more, and I don't have enough vacation time to add on the ride time to the New England states and back.

Go North, my friend (and east...)

The original plan was to fly to Boston the first of June, rent a Wing and ride the remainder of those NE states, but I bought a retirement home last fall so I'm going to spend that vacation time up there getting it ready for future living.

The NE will need to wait until 2020 or 2021. I also want to get back to Canada and get into British Columbia, see Banff, etc. I have a friend who summers in Nova Scotia so I want to hit that area too.

At some point I'll at least need to get to the bottom of AK, and then fly over to HI and ride a bike over there.

Ahh, so the map is ridden IN the state, not ridden TO the state :)
(says the guy with only 9 states to his name...)

With the exception of the proposed flight to Boston, yes, all of them were ridden to and within. I don't have enough vacation time to spend two days crossing the country to get there and then two days back on top of riding all of those states. Perhaps after I retire it will be a different story.

Now, to put an even finer point on things, I may not have ridden very far in each of those states but I did cross the state line. The least amount of miles put into a state would have been last September as I left Ducktown TN and rode into NC. I entered NC, found a left turn lane about 100 yards up the road, pulled a U-turn and headed on my way west.
:trust:

Zoom in on this link at the TN line to see where I turned around... https://goo.gl/maps/fuQE6gBabz22
