I am trying to instal some new super duper H4 bulbs. The manual says step one: "remove the boot" (the thingy on the back of the bulb with the wires). I have pulled the boot with medium to heavy pressure to no avail. My question is this; how hard do I pull? Is there some sort of locking device that I'm nissing? Help!!!
 
There is a tab on the rubber boot that is about 1" wide. Grab that and pull. They could come off without too much fuss. You do have the bulb unplgged right? :-P Getting the boot on is much more fun if you don't have little hands!
