Just a question please, for all you mechanical types out there.

Is there a heat shielding material out there that can be applied (either brushed or sprayed) to the back of the fairings that would do away with those lint like clothes currently found stuck to the back of fairings.

Thanks in advance for any and all help.

The aerospace industry uses a foil lined heat shielding material that is glued in position. Check with your local racing shop.

Advance Auto (and probably many others) sell small quantity heat shield materials. Typically as sheet with adhesive or just sheet. Some are foil backed for radiant heat deflection and others are glass fiber materials that limits heat transfer.
