Re: So I bought the most ridiculous motorcycle today
That's about what I was considering. I see them for just a few bucks on the eBay. I did notice the ads say to glue them on. I figured a dab of Yamabond or something. Wouldn't it be sacrilegious to use anything but Yamabond on a TW?

That's actually Agman's bike in the pic, when I installed his Clark he had brought along one of those vents. I was... If you look close I installed his with .026 stainless safety wire so we'll have to wait and see how long his lasts. I won't use them on my bikes again. If you do choose to use one I would highly recommend putting a piece of tubing in your kit just in case.

Re: So I bought the most ridiculous motorcycle today
I use plastic tubing with a check valve in it, the check valve helps to keep the fuel in the tank when the tank is full and splashing around or if you lay it down (something I seem to be doing a lot of lately), the tubing bends over and goes down the fork tree center like on a regular dirt bike, that way if (or when) the end attached to the tank comes loose you don't loose all of it, you simply push it back on. I went with a red silicon tubing that matched my pig so it looks good.

From experence I can also say go with a vent "Tube" tucked in the tripple tree on the other end you have spare tubing if needed - I had a gas line filter come ungluded about 50 miles from nowhere, started leaking gas and no way to fix it (and no way to re-connect the 2 ends of teh short tubing) lucky we had a vent line to replace the entire gas line to get out alive ![]() Just a thought!
