Cant wait to hear about your trip and what trails you did. Did you get to Kane Creek? One of my favorites.

First trail was Pritchett Canyon. MedicJeff recommended this one as a must do...he was right. Fun stuff from the very beginning. :thumb:

I made it to the first set of steps where the wench anchors are. Since my 530 doesn't have a wench, looked like a good spot to turn around. This obstacle is entirely do-able...just not in solo mode. :nono: I had to stick to the bunny trails this trip. :headbang:

Several remnants of mechanical carnage here. Breaking down out here could be a really bad thing. :deal:

On the way out to Chicken Corners, decided to go up on the Moab Rim trail. This is often confused with the scenic White Rim trail. Pucker moments in abundance here  and amazing views.

CC is a great dual sport ride and would be a hoot on my KLR. On the 530...not so much

Stopped by Thelma and Louise point on the way over to Metal Masher. Yep, looks just like the movie. Didn't see the car down there.

Love Moab. My favorite loop is Pritchett Canyon, then out all the way to the highway, I think it is Behind-the-Rocks, and then back via Kane Creek. That first set of steps sets the tone for the whole trail. Pictures on the interweb make it look way more tame than it is.

Wished I could have gone along.

Yep... Behind the Rocks. That's the loop we do. Talk about a lot of fun, hard earned fun.

How awesome is Kane Creek?? Thats one of my favorites.

Man I love Moab.

Looking forward to more, RG.

Minute 11:00 on is crazy scary . That's a long way down.
I thought you where just riding around until I saw the white dots on the trail.

Great editing , I know that takes a long time.

Nice riding old man.

I look forward to riding there . I hope sooner than later.

Congrats on a great vacation.

"Old man! Why you young whipper snapper!

Vinny the heat is desert dry - pretty cool early on. I'd ride till about 1 or 2 and then go do tourist stuff rest of the day.

The rock climber folks do a good job of marking those slickrock trails but their marks get washed, wiped, whatever...away in places. One steep climb in the vid is where I'd gone down hill off the trail and gotten lost...imagine that. Couldn't go down any further so...hang on. That rock is like riding on coarse sand paper. Crazy traction.

We stayed at the Slickrock RV place north of town. They have tent sites, cabins, and RV spots. Pretty cool laid-back folks. I'd go back.
