I'm stuck in Chicago doesn't mean that I'm not thinking about motorcycles. This morning I went out to the International Motorcycle Show to take a peak at what ever was there. I am so glad that you can't purchase motorcycles direct at the show. Too many toys...... Here are a couple for your viewing pleasure.
Tiger 1200 Explorer
BMW R1200GSA
I fit too....
The new R1200GS water cooled model
The "unprotected" radiators on the new GS.
I'd bet that the farkle makers for all things BMW already have some sort of guard ready to go. The BMW rep said that there were only a couple of these bikes in the USA at this time. I asked about when the water cooled motor would be in the GSA and he said December. Next year for the RT and R models.
The big KTM..sorry for the fuzzy pic.
I'm actually saying that I like this color on the KLR
Nice C14
The new FJR
Those Yamaha folks think of everything.....
The only Ducati that actually looks rideable for someone my size...
I am sorry that I have no pictures of the Ducati girls....mob of drooling gentlemen blocking my view....
I did manage to get this however....
Overall the bike show was worth the effort for me to get to. Blue line out from downtown almost to O'hare. Brands that were there...Honda with a large display, Suzuki similiar size display, Ducati, Triumph, Yamaha, BRP (Polaris, Spyder, etc), Victory, HDMC, and the usual amounts of venders selling everything you would want or might or might not need for your motorcycle and self. Worth the $16.
