I think I found the forum about a year ago but never posted anything. Glad to know there are like-minded riders in TX. Moved here from ND last year, I ride a 2011 KTM 990 Adventure (currently have two of them but one will get sold soon) and prefer dirt. I'm disappointed that TX has paved just about everything but I have enjoyed the pavement in the hill country. Here's the bike pic...

If you come over here to East Texas, there is still a good bit of dirt roads, with plenty of sand...
