Re: The Craigslist Thread

And this is the closest example I've ever seen to the Greeves I briefly had in the 70's.
Pretty sure mine was a 68 or 9. Never got to ride it. Transmission issue.

let me know when you figure it out.
I had a Bridgestone 90 Trail in the 70's, and it had a dual sprocket. There were five I think bolts you undid, that let you move the big one in and out of the chain path, and put in or take out the chain extension. In big sprocket, the bike would hardly go 30mph, but it would climb trees. Wish I had that one still.

I get & in theory it's awesome. it mounts the existing. but looks like a chain swap is necessary. There are only crescents on the sprocket so I assume it sits on bolts or there is a flat area on the existing and it just slides on. In my mind the large sprocket wouldn't be too durable at the mounting area. Then again I doubt that bike puts out more that 15 hp.

Re: The Craigslist Thread

Wow! The PC-800 does have kind of a charm of its own. But that one, I'm afraid, is a little rough. Plus being half buried in dirt & leaves will probably mean rotted tires, possibly corroded rotors & other low hanging parts.

Go for it. Looks like it may be a decent option.

Re: The Craigslist Thread
