It sure looks like he is gaining confidence and skill on the bike!
Not really a drought, Scott. Actually there two seasons in the area, dry and rain season.
It's end of dry season now, and the things look like that.
I am waiting for the first raining season for our dirbikes. That would be pretty fun. Let see what we can do with the mud

Yeah, my boy gain a bit more confidence now. However I am quite disappointed that we do not have a pro-trainer here. All I can do is watching youtube and tell him what I saw and what I understood, sometimes let him join the track and listen to some players there. Be noted that all of them are all the same as me, self-trained people

I just worked a deal last night to trade our CRF50F for a Yamaha 110, plus a bit extra cash for it.

We leave Sunday morning with a trailer full of dirt bikes (and my GS) to head for the mountains of Arkansas for a week of riding!

Re: My 9 years old son started riding

Sold the RM65 and bought in a KX85 for him.
He is smallest guide, far right:

Went for a two nights enduro ride with him and my friends on highland:

And many other trips

After some months focusing on his examination at school, the bike becomes small for him.

Just now bought another KX, KX125 for him. Still at the middle of restoration of the bike, not yet a ride out.

ALmost done:

Bond will love the larger frame/wheels of the KX125. Surprised you waited this long as he was comfortable almost instantly on Woody's bike. Wow can't believe that's been 1-1/2 yrs ago already. Best regards to him and your wife. I grabbed our photo off your website.

Re: My 9 years old son started riding

Did the track yesterday and the boy truly love the bike. He made friend really quick with bike size and power.
I followed him on my enduro bike:

And we enjoyed washing the bikes in the rain. LOL

Re: My 9 years old son started riding

Man, he looks like he is having a great time!!

When did you drink the orange Kool-Aid?

So when you do those enduro trips with him, does it not matter that you are riding on roads with a bike that has no license plate? Here, that will get you in trouble. Riders have to have a motorcycle driving license and bikes have to be plated and registered to be street legal. Otherwise, you can only ride on private property or in designated off-road areas. I would love to take Daniel on rides like that but he can't be on the street because he is to young to have a license and his bike is not plated/registered.

Re: My 9 years old son started riding

Hey, I got this Ktoom for almost half year already. Actually this is 2nd time riding it. First time was playing on Vietnam desert about 2 month ago. LINK

When we do enduro trip, we almost ride offroad, almost no road riding. Just some very short segments from the base to the trail entry. And there is no requirement of registration for bikes which riding offroad here - obviously no police
