It's what I was told by a mechanic at the Suzuki shop in Harlingen, TX. Passed inspection without hi/low after that in Houston multiple times and the inspector confirmed it. It was back around 2006 though, so no idea now.

Edit: I found this...(10) "Motor-driven cycle" means a motorcycle equipped with a motor that has an engine piston displacement of 250 cubic centimeters or less. The term does not include an electric bicycle.

Might have something to do with it...I'll keep looking.

How long since it has been registered?

Re: FS 2007 Suzuki DRZ 250 Street Legal

This DRZ has high/low light. It has been registered, & inspected for over two years. Registration & inspection was done July of this year. Everything works as it should for street use including basically new DOT tires. I hate to sell this bike but due to buying a new CRF 450 on a deal I couldn't pass up I need the funds. The 450 is not for me it is for my son. My KX-250f is all I can handle.
