Re: Red river battleground tour

File Type: gpx Red_River_Battleground_Tour.gpx (1.26 MB, 20 views)

I've gotten way behind in technology. Still using paper maps. How do I download this file to a gpx viewer? I've downloaded GPX Viewer with Drive but have no idea how to access the Red River file. Thanks for all help.

Re: Red river battleground tour

Thanks Doug. I messed around some with the TWT instructions for downloading a file and realized I am way behind on the basic computer stuff, well maybe, technology in general.

Re: Red river battleground tour

Doug. The old route I had in furkot is no longer valid. Did you upload it to your own furkot account for viewing?
If not then Zephyr you may want to download a map program called ďTyreĒ itís like a user friendly version of basecamp. Thatís what I mapped the route with after I had a mini meltdown a couple of weeks ago. It also can easily upload the gpx to your gps (both garmin and Tomtom).

Oh...and finally after way too much troubleshooting, rebuilding and generally pissing away money I have my bike fixed, torqued down properly and ready to roll.

Prior to 1860, over 1/2 the of millionaires in the US, lived in Natchez.

Before the levees were built, when it flooded good, the river would be about 30 miles wide there.

Well, the flood is ON.

The road betwixt Port Gibson & Grand Gulf Military Park is closed due to water over the road.

What time are you guys leaving Waco? If you leave at 8ish we will do the same.

How about Crockett at 10am? Pick a spot.....

Looks like weather will be good, I dont mind the occasional shower or storm.

I was thinking that we would be off and running by 0830 or so. Send me your number and I will give you a call when we leave. I donít know much of anything about Crockett so if you know a good spot let me know and we will meet you there.

No problem. We will be on all kinds of stuff. Old blue BMW RT here though. You might notice how quiet the final drive is and how fresh the exhaust smells. Iíve been busy lol.
