I use those all the time- HotHands has started making an insole with glue on it that sticks to your shoe insole and goes for 8 hours... sounds like heaven to me.

+1 to that. Mine is about 5yrs old. Besides a busted zipper and a few frayed edges, it's good as new.

British Motorcycle Gear is usually at the IMS motorcycle show. Try it on, save on shipping.

Just remembered mine is the Challenger, not the Discovery.

I don't know what model I have, but mine keeps me warm down into the low 30's with nothing but a t-shirt, jacket liner, and the jacket shell. In fact I'm about to head out in just that for a quick ride up to McKinney this morning.

Re: Cold weather jacket

Leather is a good windproof layer but does not insulate.

My Challenger has a removable insulated liner. For the last couple seasons, that liner has stayed in the closet in favor of a Lands End squall jacket.
I find having a zipped-around-me layer makes the temps much more bearable. Even with the double zipper covers on the Belstaff, the wind still cuts through and with the liner, there's nothing between me and that draft. With a separate jacket, that draft is kept away from me.
My $0.02. Take it for what it's worth.

Really? I have not had this experience. With a good sweatshirt under it, my old leather jacket was good down to about 25.

That's because you added the sweatshirt for insulation under the wind-breaking leather. This is a good combination, and if you can find 100% polyester fleece instead of cotton fleece, the combo is even better since polyester wicks moisture better than cotton.
