Re: Basic Adult DirtBike School
This Is Advanced
Introduction to Trail Riding Introduction to Trail Riding (ITR) is the next level DirtBike School course designed to familiarize riders with riding off-road on actual trails. The ITR course builds on the knowledge developed in the CRE course and teaches more advanced riding skills. A DBS Coach will guide ITR students through lessons including: •Riding in sand, water, mud and rocks •Depending on the area, riding in snow and ice or tight woods •Stopping and turning around on hills, riding up & downhills, including progressing to steeper uphills and downhills •Traversing and stopping, and alternate method, steeper downhills (Bulldogging) •Riding whoops and ruts, and drop-offs and ledges and crossing ditches Last edited by KAM; 10-28-2009 at 04:39 PM. Re: Basic Adult DirtBike School
I hope your class went well this weekend. I would like to attend your next one in the Houston area for adults. At 30, maybe I am a little old to be picking this up....but I have always wanted to get into the dirt riding.

Re: Basic Adult DirtBike School
KAM, I have a (soon to be 15 year old) son that wants to take the required course to get his permit so that he can ride with me per the TX permit rules. Will this Nov 14th class qualify for that of not when will one of these be put on?
I do a lot of Dual Sport riding and he wants to start tagging along. http://www.txdps.state.tx.us/adminis..._dl_id.htm#q27 |

Re: Basic Adult DirtBike School
I was wondering if there is an intermediate or advanced class tha would for example teach one how to do jumps or doubles etc.

Re: Basic Adult DirtBike School
No Way! Heck, my first motorcycle was a dirtbike at age 36 or so, so I learned to ride in the dirt, then bought my first street bike at age 46.
Being able to ride dirt/offroad opens up a whole nuther world to you. |

Now I'm really worried. Do they have a senior division for a 49 yr old? I'm bringing the beast to today's class but will probably start off on the smaller bike until I get the hang of it.
