Any one near Friendswood or any other place around Houston willing to ride with me? Don't feel like riding solo

Just passed a Harley down on 3090 outside Navasota, sorry to see it. EMS on site. Hope it wasn't one of the pie guys.

221.6 Honda miles for me today! That fog sure was thick this morning, but it burned off by the time lunch was over.

irish66, in your pic above, whoever is riding that blue GW is lucky he was riding slow on FM 954...he almost broadsided a deer. I don't even think he saw it, because he never braked.

Re: Pie run X: Murphy's, Winchester 10/29

One of the best BLT's I've ever had!

It was foggy early but not too bad. Daniel and I managed to get there right on time.

The ride home was fun. We explored back roads all the way up North of Burton and Brenham and found some fun sand/gravel as well as those little narrow paved roads. We hit 291 miles as we rolled in the driveway. That is Daniel's longest ride yet. He was ready to get home at about 250 miles

It was nice seeing so many folks show up, despite the fog. I was thinking we were going to have a small group based on the "In" list in this thread. I'm guessing 25-30 people maybe? We had that long table and at least three of the round tables that seat five people. As usual, I did not get to visit with as many folks as I would have liked to. I did see a few new faces I did not recognize, but with my memory, it is entirely possible that I've met them before

Re: Pie run X: Murphy's, Winchester 10/29

We really enjoyed the Pie Run. Had the Rib-Eye steak, baked potato, salad bar and bean bar, for 10.99. Great food reasonable prices. That was a sweet 850 Norton in the lot. Electric start I believe.
Rode in the thickest fog for me ever. My riding buddy almost got a full size Buck on his full size Harley riding through the parks.. A miss is a miss.
Both parks have started recovery, the life is in the seed. A few decades they will be better than before. Ecclesiastes 1:9 What has been will be again

Re: Pie run X: Murphy's, Winchester 10/29

J and I enjoyed the seeing folks we hadn't seen in a LONG time and meeting new folks. Loved looking at the bike eye-candy

We had to drive because my bike was at Motorcycles Unlimited getting the post 4000 mile vacation check-out. And J doesn't want to put too many miles on the Versys before it finds a new home.

The food was really really good. I had the grilled chicken sandwich which had 1.5 chicken breasts on it and J had the BIG burger which had a lot of beef. Definitely will be on our list of places to stop when up in that area exploring.

Scott, Daniel looked like he was having a great time. I think 250 is a good stopping point for anyone sometimes Give him time and he'll be enjoying 500 miles in a day.

Looks like it was fun. Woulda been there, but I had to watch my granddaughter win first place for her age group at the North Texas State Gymnastics Championship. Couldn't let her down as she has been working so hard. Next competition is Texas State Championship.
