It is no crime to be ignorant of economics, which is, after all, a specialized discipline and one that most people consider to be a ‘dismal science.' But it is totally irresponsible to have a loud and vociferous opinion on economic subjects while remaining in this state of ignorance. – Murray N. Rothbard

When one possessed of the Truth suffers from a heavy heart he is susceptible to a more dangerous affliction — the craving for power to eradicate error, to cause Truth to triumph by force. - Frank Chodorov

Where politicians flourish, long history has harshly taught us, people and their liberty wither. Where the state is god and the "public interest" worshipped, individual man will be found bleeding upon the altar. - Karl Hess

The accepted wisdom is that without the state, society would collapse into lawlessness and crime. In fact, lawlessness and crime define the very nature of the state and the society organized by it. - Bionic Mosquito

But the myth of the rule of law does more than render the people submissive to state authority; it also turns them into the state's accomplices in the exercise of its power. For people who would ordinarily consider it a great evil to deprive individuals of their rights or oppress politically powerless minority groups will respond with patriotic fervor when these same actions are described as upholding the rule of law. - John Hasnas

I would suspect Pops will be out there both Saturday and Sunday. Pretty sure we will be out there Sunday testing out the KX 65.

Right now looks like Sunday, but probably could swing by either day!

Time: Saturday doesn't matter, Sunday after Church.

Church starts at 10:15, out about 11:30. I usually get to the park 12-12:15.

That is a possible, but won't know for sure till Friday. Have a lot going on.
But it would still have to be after 12:00. I have sound system duty in Church this week so skipping isn't an option!

Re: Outlaw Trax Ride

After Church is fine. I wouldn't be able to go this W/E till after church. But if not then maybe soon.
I may have to work the following Sunday but I'm not sure.

When you say be here? Do you mean Huntsville? And that's north of Houston right? Where is Outlaw again?

I get out of Church around 11:15. Then gotta drop the wife off at home perhaps. 15 minutes to load the bike up at North Austin and then hit the road no later than 12:15 perhaps?

Re: Outlaw Trax Ride

Wowzers, looks like Outlaw Trax is about 145 miles from my house. Gotta rethink Sunday. Perhaps Saturday? Can get there earlier on Saturday. That's a bit of a trip to rush to after church.

Whatdayathink?

Re: Outlaw Trax Ride

O-K, I can do Saturday. Your milage is correct or real close.

Just to be sure this isn't a wasted trip for you, a little heads-up on what Outlaw is and isn't! It is a h/s club's lease and the trails are made for that.
Have around 18 miles on the main loop, everything from 1st gear finger busters to 3rd-4th gear flowing trails. We use a lot of gullys and dry creek beds. Very fun circuit. We host a STORM race each year, think we have won track of the year couple of times.

What it isn't is a m/x facility, we have one but not worth driving for.

So there you have it, if you want some big trailriding fun come on.

Let me know and we can setup the details!

Re: Outlaw Trax Ride

Thanks for the info.

This is the second time I've seen or heard the term H/S club or lease. What is the meaning?

Short form, basically it is like a deer lease. We don't own the property but have the right to use it. Locked gate and all.

Hare scramble (h/s) racers are us. It was originally started by racers and most still do at least some. But all members do not race. Mainly a private family oriented place to enjoy our sport.

On Saturday I will be out to meet a friend at 9:30 if you would like to join us.
If you decide to come PM and I will give you more details.

Check out Outlawtrax.com for some more details.

Rob
