Centerville 10/14-10/15

As promised, going riding. Most likely a 300mi trip sat. and 140mi option with or without weird deers & tigers.Spoke with the folks that put the roll chart together and they will try to come.Depending, the rides are flexable and doable by most dirt oriented bikes.Have not been able to scout the 300miler so that will be an adventure.More info. later, need to find out if anyone is interested

I've got a gps route from the ride that TRH put on a few years ago.

Do you want it?

That's the ride that I sent the roll charts to Scott for....There were a couple of "busts" here and there but it turned out OK.....

Re: Centerville 10/14-10/15

Can you attach the.gdb or .gpx files? I would not mind taking a peek at them. What kind of a run was it? 70% dirt with some nasty sandiness that I love?

Re: Centerville 10/14-10/15

Speaking to one of the fellows,it's mostly dirt.As said before those dirt roads are going away[pavement-bummer].This will be a findout trip.Centerville to Crocket to Kennard to Grapeland to, I'm probably lost now.Should be able to keep in gas, especially if the KLR guys make it.YES WE COULD USE THE ROUTES,THANK YOU.Hey Brian, getting hit with sand is'nt near as bad as rocks.Wouldn't do that[?]might need help again. Not really sure about food, may have to eat the slow guy.

Is there a good place to park my cage in Centerville?

Re: Centerville 10/14-10/15

Pending other events I would like to try and make this. I need to put many, many more miles on the bike and a 300 mile day will test my body to this narrow seat.

Re: Centerville 10/14-10/15

I am in and I have conned GetBent into joining us. While I have never done 300 miles in the dirt, I think I can handle it just fine. We will see how Jim does on this one

If I need to bring anything, let me know. I shall be trailering down to your place since my knobbies would proably not make the trip down there.

Re: Centerville 10/14-10/15

I think Mike Green is also in. I kinda wanted to ride down there, but I cannot find a 50/50 tire for a 19" rear wheel. Oh well.
