Muenster anyone? 11/17 & 11/18 2007

Ok, we've done Outlaw Trax for December Dirt Days and Cherokee Cycle Park for Stephens Birthday and we are getting ready to do the Boar Run at Outlaw Trax in less than 2 weeks. Now we need to find something a little further north, Muenster anyone??????????????????

I will be looking at my work schedule for the remainder of the year along with our race schedule to see when we are available to hit Muenster again. Since I said I would get this set up I will have to work it around my schedule but I would also like to work it around schedules of others if possible. Due to the distance from here we are going to make it a two day ride. So give me some ideas when you are available for a two day ride at Red River Motorcycle Park.

If possible we could really use some local guides to tell us riders from parts south where to go or act as our tour guides since most of us probably couldn't follow directions.

I know I probably don't have to say this but there is no other place in Texas or most anywhere else that compares to Muenster. So, Muenster anyone??????????????????

I've been looking forward to this one since I saw the pics from January. Hope I can make it, whenever it is.

Re: Muenster anyone??????????????????

After the heat and humidity at Cherokee, I hope we consider this for later in the year. Maybe late October or early November?

Re: Muenster anyone??????????????????

Hemi, did you go on the "taking the ride to Myosin" excursion up there with the KTM Talk guys when SHNF was rained out? I was gonna crash the party with the red bike but Muenster was too far for just a weekend ride for me.

Why would you need a guide there? It's a lot of acres but it's really hard to get lost.

I wasn't able to make the "taking it to Myosin ride" after it was swapped from SHNF to Muenster due to my work schedule but I did make the RiderDown Elmer Symons Benefit ride in January.

Mostly due to the different skill levels of the riders. I would hate to lead a group of newer riders into an area they didn't need to be. We did that at the RiderDown ride and it got pretty hairy for some of them. So basicly it to keep it fun for all skill levels.

Right now it looks like we will be racing thru Halloween weekend and then the National SuperMoto race is in Galveston the first weekend of November. I have a copy of my work schedule here at the house but we had one co-worker retire and I have to check to make sure they didn't change our schedules while I was on vacation to cover his shifts. I should know about the schedule tomorrow or Thursday at the latest, I hope.

Perhaps Barnwell Mountain in Gilmer would be a popular option. I seem to remember the trails being rated. It's been about 5 or so years since I've been there, and on a borrowed polaris quad, so I don't know what has changed since then.

Re: Muenster anyone??????????????????

That's going to be the first chance we get, our race season doesn't end until the end of October and then we have the Red Bull SuperMoto in Galveston on November 3 & 4 but y'all are free to set up one sooner.

Re: Muenster anyone??????????????????

I know I'm getting a little ahead of myself here but thought I would go ahead and post a link to the pdf for directions to RRMT and a link to their website for those that may need it to help decide if they want to make the trip.

Directions to RRMT

Red River Motorcycle Trails Web Site

I should have a date set up this evening by 22:00 or shortly there after.
