Re: Alaska Ride Report - Rich Desmond

Thanks for a great no bs ride report without the pics it takes all day to load out here in the gulf of Mexico/ ;=).
Your pictures of Wyoming, Montana,Near Glacier, Southern Canada brought back fond memories of my travels there in '97, 04, 06. And, hopefully to Wy and Co again next month.
I've yet to get to Alaska so I read all these travel stories with great interest as that is my plans for possible next summer as my retirement trip.
I find Solo travel very pleasing also as you get to meet people that you would never meet other wise. People look at me strange when I'm getting off my bike in some little back road place and then just smile when I take my helmet off and they see a little fat white haired dude with a smile that say's " Hi Ya'll" .
Thanks again for taking the time to share your journey.

Rich, what day were you up at the circle? Heck, we might have crossed paths and not even known it.

Dang, that's a purty bike.

Rich, what was your total mileage?

Enjoyed reading your report immensely.

I thought you might meet up with the other bunch, too.

Lessee, that was Day 11, so Sunday the 22nd. Don't specifically remember passing a Strom that day, but that doesn't mean much.

I have a pic of that Monarch Pass sign somewhere, only it features a brand new 1979 XS650SF Yamaha on its maiden voyage and the 72 GT550 I sold to my buddy who rode with me.
