Cool Re: Thursday Austin Lunch M&G - Billy's - 11:30

Nice turnout today! I think somewhere around 15-20 folks showed up. Checked out Mark's new Guzzi and almost got a test ride... Scott's just about to pull the trigger on a white 2011 V-Strom. Good to see TexTom as well....

Great lunch guys and gals!

Good to see everyone; and thanks Jeff Hansen for making the effort!
I bet you hit more bugs than anyone going home!

Thanks guys for the good visit and new place for coffee in Austin! Just rolled into Casa del Hansen with more dead bugs than I care to count. The big splat kind of bugs! 350 miles round trip. For those who didn't go to coffee after, we observed how the city of Austin creates tar snakes. Pictures to follow later this evening. Scary easy how they do that.

Re: Thursday Austin Lunch M&G - Billy's - 11:30

Yes my day was enjoyable! I go on the theory that any day on the bike is a good day. I made it spot on at 11am.

Coffee after the "Tar Snake Installation Crew" was observed. Quick, painless, and blocking traffic as they went south on Burnet/Burnett.

The guy in the yellow apron was the "application coordinator". Everybody else was a "smearing/speading coordinator". Basically hot tar out of a hose into the general area of the crack and then smeared into the crack and surrounding area with a "V" shaped thing on a stick.

Our tax dollars at work. And those guys were working fast.

Great day today, lots of folks showed up. Thanks for making the trip, Jeff. Hope to be at Billy's next week. Will be in sunny Southern California on the 19th eating In-n-Out Burger.

I was always wondering why I get a caffeine energy kick after eating a Billy's chicken sandwhich...well it appears it may be laced with the stuff....

See this article.

All the more reason to buy organic when possible.

Man, those 2012 Tigers looked sweet. Glad they were there. I also stopped off at CTPowersports in Georgetown. Drooled over a Kawasaki Ninja 1000 and the Suzuki GSX1250FA. Either of the three would be nice upgrades to my FZ6. They're all about the same price, too. Looks-wise, the Ninja 1000 was my favorite.

I'll be IN for lunch again next week. Still on the Yamaha. Maybe Scott will have something by then.

"Frankly, after reading these studies, I’m so depressed about what has happened to farming that I wonder: Could a Prozac-laced chicken nugget help?"

Arsenic, Benadryl, Tylenol, Prozac. I feel better already!
