Re: 2003 Suzuki SV1000 (Naked Version)
Dad (ST/SV) has been having internet woes lately. He has just asked me to lower the price for his SV to $4,000.
I hope for his sake it doesn't last long at this price. If it gets much lower, I may be in the market.

Re: 2003 Suzuki SV1000 (Naked Version)
Now we are talking smoking deal. It shouldn't last long at that price.

Re: 2003 Suzuki SV1000 (Naked Version)
dammit..... and I thought to myself, "...what if I offered him four grand for it?"
plane ticket, maybe some cheap lowering links to get it home (I'm 5' 2"), a BIG tank bag, MP3 player, GPS, a cup holder Quote:
Truth is, I want my Bandit 1250 set up as a full time bagger..... and another bike to have "fun" on. An SV1000 could indeed be fun!

Re: 2003 Suzuki SV1000 (Naked Version)
go with a back pack with integrated hydration system (camel back). it will help keep your posture correct, allow hydration on the go, and a big tank bag will just be in your face. I have one I got for my SV1KN and never use it.
that bike already has the MCL risers on it that take a good amount of pressure off your wrist for long distance running. the risers also allow you to drop the front end about two inches, and combined with the bike being pretty narrow when compared with a in-line four. it will still have a pretty good lean angle for tearing up and down Mulholand, and the PCH.

I can't believe this bike is still not sold. What a fun bike. If I wasn't downsizing.....I'd bought it already.

Re: 2003 Suzuki SV1000 (Naked Version)
I almost bought one locally (Central California). It had Ohlins, Galfers, Pro Tapers, Yosh', low mileage, same color..... woulda cost me $4500 otd.
I chose instead to stick to my $3,000 limit and found an '03 nekid SV650. Thought I got one heck of a deal, given as it had only 2,400 miles..... but I've already spent another $1,500 on suspension, sliders, and exhaust. You do the math for an engine 350cc's less...... Such is life. |

Awesome...now I can try to sell mine. I knew there was no reason to list mine while yours was still available. Mine's a decent specimen, but not as nice as yours was.

Not really Leon, he's a good guy that lives here in Houston, been wanting it a long time and he finally pulled the trigger. He is a member but rarely posts.

I am still on cloud nine...still can't believe I've got her in my stable!
Waited seven loooong years, but ol' blue was destined to be mine. It's technically still "in the family", since I plan to do some rides and hang with Larry...maybe the next pie run! Don't worry Larry, I'll take good care of her... (and you wasn't kiddin' about the monster torque )I can start posting more since I actually OWN a bike! |

Re: Sold - 2003 Suzuki SV1000 (Naked Version)
Workin' this weekend...gotta pay for the new toy!
![]() When is the next ride? I'd love to go to the apple store again..stopped by there on the way back from Concan last summer...loved relaxing on the Frio! Stayed at www.frioacres.com which were great cabins just south of Garner State Park. They have a couple of cabins that sleep 10-12 people and 3 or 4 more 2 bedroom cabin that sleep 8-10.....that would be a good place to hang/sleep after a long day of riding.
