Is this a good trailer for interstate travel (70 MPH) to SHNF? I plan to tow it with an Altima. I'll be looking for a hitch at the junkyard.

Also, where to I find supplies to build a deck?

First what are you planning on carrying? I would not put anything very heavy on it maybe over 600 700 lbs. Second I learned the hard way those tiny tires don't like to run 70mPH with a load on them so if your heavy slow down a little or opt for a taller tire. If your putting a Bike on it get a wheel chock from H.F. while your there. Decking hit up the local Lowes or Home Depot. Plywood thickness should depend on what your putting on there. I have one of their small trailers and used it to carry a YSR50 or a car top carrier with no problems. but in either case I never had more than about 500 lbs total on there

I have never liked the small wheel trailers, they can be dangerous with a load on them. You might get by with a small load.

Ok,

I would stay away from the 8" wheels. They're pretty small and will be turning a lot of RPM's on the freeway. The wheel bearings on the H.F. trailers are not very high quality either. Keep them well lubed and adjusted, especially with the smaller wheels.

I have the 4' x 8' version of that trailer with 12" wheels. It's been pretty good. The paint is crap. It will fade quickly and it chips off easily.
I also have that wheel chock from H.F. it works well.
If your looking for a trailer to haul the bike and be useful around the house I think 4X8 is a good size.
By the time you buy the trailer, decking, rails and all I found that I could have bought a better quality used trailer for the same money

If you looking to haul just the bike, you may want to try something like this.

I definitely agree with those mentioning concern with the 8" wheels. I had a small pop-up camper with 8's, and it was a frequent blowout ****. Even trying different tires didn't solve the issue. The trailer was within the weight limits of the tires. I use 12's on my homebuilt trailer that's approaching 30 years old.

If they had some of those trailers like I see at Lowes, Tractor Supply, and other places when I built mine, I would have purchased one of those. For the money, they're a good buy and well built. Another issue that's extremely important IMO is having rails on the trailer. Rails are a godsend in so many ways. Those Lowe's, etc. trailers most all have rails...and most even have a tailgate.

I know it's more than twice the price as the one you originally posted, but this one would be a much better choice. At $579, it's still a good deal.
